About Us
Our (Short) Story
What do you do when your husband leaves and you have 2 kids under 5 and a craft business selling tartan twee gifts?
The short answer is you quit your reporting job and relaunch your business celebrating everything you love (grunge music, loud gigs, playing records, 90s movies). 2014 was the year of just going for it and since then I have worked for and with my favourite venue (Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom), designed a dress featuring my favourite venues, sold 3000 copies of my gig venue colouring book and generally had a ball rebuilding myself while building my brand.
It’s been over 10 glorious years of Lola Polooza Design and the wee tribe of loyal customers I have met and kept over that time has been the best thing. We share the same passions and I love sending my news of tours and products I know you’ll love as much as me in my newsletter.
Here’s to the next decade.
Help us help others
Another huge aspect of Lola Polooza Design is our focus on mental health. Losing our musical heroes from an early age from their depression, and that continuing to be a recurring thing throughout our life, has made us determined to do all we can to support others.
We have raised hundreds of pounds for mental health charities from limited edition products as well as launching our ongoing project lyrical life lessons which has worked with Scottish mental health charities since 2018. Find out how to help us help others below…
